Category add-in is a function that enables the user to create a column, in any excel worksheet, with a particular data categorization based on user defined rules.
This CATEGORY column helps the user analyze and understand the underlying data to achieve certain analytical goals such as grouping the data into certain buckets for further aggregation into count and/or amounts related to the defined buckets, or for the purpose of conducting a comparison between 2 data sets as well as many other analytical or data mining activities most excel users conduct on a day to day basis. |
